SYRACUSE N.Y. — Basketball is back in Syracuse.
The Orange kicked off its season on Friday night with Orange Madness where both the men's and women's basketball teams were given a warm welcome back to the Carrier Dome. Both teams are coming off of an impressive season as they made it to the final four, with the women's team losing in the National Championship game to UConn.
The teams showed off their final four rings, enjoyed a performance from rapper Jadakiss, honored service men and women, and scrimmaged in front of their fans for the first time this season.
The men start their season with an exhibition against Indiana, Pa. on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. The women begin on November 11 at 3 p.m. at the Carrier Dome hosting Rhode Island.
