SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse Chiefs hosted the Columbus Clippers for the first game of a three game series on Friday night.
Richie Shaffer's grand slam in the third inning put the Clippers on top 6-1. Columbus went to take down Syracuse 11-5. The two teams will face-off again on Saturday at 7:05.
