SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse Chiefs were back home after a six game road trip on Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader against the Charlotte Knights.
In the first game the Knights overpowered the Chiefs, 12-5 in seven innings. But in game two the Chiefs put up more of a fight on home turf, going into extra innings after being tied 2-2 at the end of the seventh. The Chiefs outlasted the Knights in eight by a 3-2 final score.
The Chiefs will host the Knights for the final game of the series on Thursday at 6:35.
