The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending Super-Bowl champions, and they are not immune to the impact of losing key players in free agency. The biggest loss for the Eagles will be the loss of veteran nickel cornerback Patrick Robinson. He had some big playoff performances and grabbed a momentum turning pick 6 against the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. However, the loss of Robinson can be minimized by the immergence and health of Sidney Jones.
Many people may not know who Sidney Jones is, he was a second
round pick in the 2017 draft. He is very talented but suffered from a torn Achilles
while he played for the Washington Huskies. He has been immerging in training
camp they have lined him up on the outside and in the slot. He is supposed to
be an impact player, and if he can be the impact player the Eagles need him to
be then the Eagles will have depth at the cornerback position. If the Eagles
have depth at the cornerback position, then they will once again be a top-3
defense in the NFL this season.
