Colin Kaepernick: Cashing Checks His Play Can't Cash

Colin Kaepernick: Cashing Checks His Play Can't Cash

Colin Kaepernick took a noble stance against police brutality last year. Unfortunately, the protests, now an afterthought, were not backed up by his product on the field. He threw for just over 2,000 yards. He led the 49ers to 2-14 record and he got cut. How does a 2-14 team not want you back and then you expect to get a job elsewhere?

Now that team had a lot of problems, that is granted. But, if you're going to bring that kind of media attention both positive and negative to a team in a back-up position; you need to make sure that what you're providing on the field is immaculate. Quite frankly, Colin Kaepernick hasn't proven to NFL teams that he is worth that media attention and that's why he's not playing. Not because of the stance.
