SYRACUSE, N.Y. - With Kevin Durant, former MVP, joining the Golden State Warriors, arguably one of the best teams in NBA history, does this help or hurt the NBA? Well, when it comes to revenue, of course it helps the NBA that this one team is making so much money but it also hurts the NBA as a whole because the NBA is filled with 30 small businesses. I would rather have most of my businesses afloat than to weigh everything on two teams in my league. It’s kind of like how the All-Star game moves around every year. It boosts notoriety about the NBA and the fan base within the NBA. So if you have the Finals in the same places every single year, I feel like it’s going to water down the league. Nobody’s going to want to watch NBA games anymore. It’s not going to be as competitive when it comes to talking about it. Of course it’s not going to be as competitive when it comes to watching it. This “super team” mentality is hurting the NBA and they need to get a hold on to it, before it gets out of control.
