Basketball is a fun, exciting sport for many people, but to Michelle Knezovic it is something much more important. It is the one thing that created a strong relationship between her and her older brother.
Growing up, Knezovic and her brother were never really close. Although he was only a year older than her, they never had anything in common. He had his group of friends who did their own thing and she had hers. A majority of her brother's time was designated to basketball, a sport he loved and played his entire life.
Knezovic always joined her mom on the bleachers to watch her brother play on the court. As she got older, Knezovic started to appreciate the sport and learned everything there was to know about it. This opened the door to an amazing bond she never knew she could have with her brother.
"Basketball was like our love language," Knezovic said. "It was how we would talk and then I became really interested in it and I would go to every single one of his games."
Fast forward to today, Knezovic and her brother are closer than ever. Her passion for sports and his love for basketball creates a connection between the two that is very special.
