Maria Papadakis is a Digital Social & In-Stadium host with Toronto Football Club. Papadakis covers everything from TFC promos, contests and in house productions like the team's series: Red Alert.
Growing up, sports were always a vital part of Papadakis' upbringing. From playing to watching soccer, Liverpool soccer games, in particular, was the glue that brought her family together. When she had the opportunity to combine her passion for broadcast and love for the game, she knew a career in sports media was one she could not refuse.
A recent grad of Canada's only sports media program, Papadakis credits the program and the city of Toronto for the opportunities she has experienced thus far. The one piece of advice she offers to any university student it to "keep doing more". She mentions building your experience and your own brand because you are the only version of yourself.
She hopes to continue her career in the Toronto sports media industry and potentially transition later to a larger market either in England or The United States.
