Sports connect you to other people. Ari Alexander is no different. Ari moved to America when he was five-years-old from Russia.
Ari says his parents are his biggest inspirations.
"My mom is very determined and driven and very strict. To her, everything has to be right and perfect. You have to win all the time."
Ari likes Scott Van Pelt and Tom Rinaldi but also draws a lot of inspiration from music artists like Kanye West and Lady Gaga.

His favorite story ever is a story about Majok Deng, a South Sudan refugee playing basketball at Pepperdine University. His story is titled, Bullets to Baskets.
Ari has worked at WMC in Memphis, KVOA in Tucson and started July 1st at KPRC in Houston, the number seven television market. He graduated from Mizzou in 2013.
His biggest advice is, "Believe in yourself and grind. Asses and compare how good you are based on the people you are competing against and if you believe that you are that good and better than everyone else, that is how you do it. If you don't then get out."
"I believe that I can do a better job at my job than 99 percent of other people."
