Tori Greco is
currently the assistant manager of social media at New Era Cap in Buffalo, N.Y.
She does all of the organic media posts and reports to the director of digital marketing
who oversees all digital media content. Anytime New Era posts anything from its
main channel, about new caps as an example, it’s coming from her. She travels
across the country to do digital media for special events such as the MLB draft
and the NFL draft. She’s also in the midst of planning her trip to Lollapalooza
on August 2, 2018 in Chicago.
Greco started at
New Era after graduating from Canisius College four years ago as a part-time
temp in the HR and community relations department. She hated what she was doing
in HR, pulling resumes and making phone calls, but knew she had push through
and work hard to get to where she wanted to be. Finally, she was hired
full-time in the community relations department, reporting to the head of PR
and working with the brand communications manager.
Greco became the
assistant manager of social media after taking the initiative to start posting
about New Era on social media since there wasn’t much of a presence before.
Greco’s favorite part about her job is traveling around the country to special
events. “Traveling all over the U.S. is pretty amazing,” said Greco.
