Winning isn't everything for Randy Knorr

If you asked most people whose team was 19 games below .500 and 21.5 games back of first place in the division. If they would classify their season as a success, I believe the natural answer would be no.

But, for Syracuse Chiefs Manager Randy Knorr who sports two World Series rings from his time playing for the Blue Jays, the success of a Minor League franchise cannot be judged on mere wins and losses. Knorr says,

“Moving guess up from here to help the Big League team that’s a successful year. Thats how we measure success”

He sees bright futures for many of the players on his young team but none in his opinion are brighter than his young center fielder Victor Robles who he compares to Pittsburgh Pirates Slugger Starling Marte who developed his power later in his career.

The competitive portion of this season may be over for the Chiefs but for Knorr at least teaching the name of the game.
